C-GCAP Revision of Version 2024(EN) Released

1. Background of regulation revision

With the rapid development of the automotive industry and the further popularization of automobiles, consumers' demands for vehicle performance, especially health performance, are constantly increasing. To maintain the advanced nature and industry guidance of the C-GCAP assessment system, the CATARC has actively collaborated with the industry to conduct technical research. It has successively carried out system construction, industry exchanges, method research, test verification, and solicitation of opinions, and finally formed the C-GCAP (Revision of Version 2024), which is used to independently, impartially and professionally evaluate the green performance of automobiles.

2. Main revisions

Compared with C-GCAP (Version 2024), C-GCAP (Revision of Version 2024) has the following changes:

(1) The health section has added a secondary indicator for the cockpit thermal environment, which includes two tertiary indicators: the initial overall thermal sensation and the proportion of stable duration in comfort zone.

(2) The health section adjusted the proportion of two secondary indicators: the interior air and the cockpit thermal environment.

The C-GCAP (Revision of Version 2024) implemented July 1, 2025.
